Mounting Choices

Mounting of paper art can be somewhat of a mystery.  There are several questions that need to be asked before mounting a piece of paper art.

1) The most important question is "How valuable is it?"  Paper art that has a significant value should never be mounted.  The industry considers that a piece of valuable art that has been mounted to be devalued, because it is no longer in it's original form.   We at Pirates Alley will never mount a valuable piece of art.

2)  The next question is "Can I live with my art being wrinkled or becoming wrinkled at a later date.  Changes in humidity and temperature will cause paper art to wrinkle over time.  With items like certificates, diplomas and pictures, we suggest mounting them to achieve the best look.  We can mount items up to 4' x 8'.
